Utah-based
R&L, Inc. leads the West in vinyl fence sales
and distribution. Ranked among the top 20 vinyl
fence businesses in the U.S., R&L didn't achieve
this distinction by accident.
The
"R" and the "L" are the husband
and wife team of Richard and Loraine Bourne of
Fruit Heights, UT. Richard and Loraine had a vision
of the future of vinyl fencing long before the
huge surge in popularity. In 1985 they began selling
a wood-clad vinyl farm fence out of their home.
Dick had retired from a lengthy sales and management
career in the computer industry. Together, they
chose a new business opportunity that was close
to their deep family roots in farming and horsemanship.
The product they pioneered held out the promise
of a fence that never needed painting, was long-lasting,
and beautiful.
In
the interim that followed, Bufftech, Inc. of Buffalo,
NY, was moving from years of PVC pipe manufacturing
to an astonishing new and beautiful vinyl fence
product. In 1991 the two companies combined their
expertise and established a strong relationship
that has led to unprecedented growth in vinyl
fence sales in Utah.
Bufftech
is the oldest and largest U.S. manufacturer of
vinyl fence products. The alliance with R&L
has been truly synergistic and both companies
have experienced rapid growth. R&L combines
marketing expertise and a carefully chosen sales
team with business management skills and quality
installations. Bufftech's strengths include unsurpassed
product quality, a wide array of innovative fence
designs, new state-of-the-art vinyl extruders,
and experienced plant management.
The
R&L/Bufftech marriage has provided industry
leadership to Utah and the surrounding states
in the sales, distribution and installation of
beautiful, maintenance-free vinyl fence products
for residence (yards, decks and porches) and agricultural
fence applications (two-, three-, four-rail horse
fencing).
